About Me

WELCOME! My name is Kacie and I'm a fine art, lifestyle photographer based out of Iowa City, Iowa.  Other than a period of time living in Denver Colorado while studying photography, I've spent the majority of my life here in Iowa City, and I feel grateful to call this amazing place HOME.

I'm blessed to say that photography was a passion that I have turned into a career. There are few things in this world that I love more than capturing special moments that can often feel so fleeting. Photographs have the ability to transport us back to a specific moment in time bringing with it all of the previous emotions.  I believe this is one of life's special gifts and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to provide people with that feeling everyday.  

Every artist's work represents something specific to them and I have come to realize that my photographs represent a number of things. They represent me, people I love, my home, or places that have inspired me. They represent something beautiful. They represent a moment in time that I didn't want to be forgotten.  Photography is my way of expressing who I am and what I love without having to say anything. Photographs have the ability to be incredibly powerful no matter the location or the subject and the goal I strive to reach every time I'm behind the camera is to create images just like that.
